~ More Easter Fun ~

On Easter we got to go spend some time with Grandma and Grandpa Warner! We had a delicious dinner and then the kids got to go on their last Easter Egg hunt. There were eggs everywhere!Grandpa was all smiles hiding the eggs and watching his grandchildren race to find them.
The kids couldn't wait! Jayden found many eggs and her bag couldn't hold many more!
Cameron and Hadley are getting older and were very selective about which eggs they were going to take. They wanted the money and best candy!
Thanks Grandma Carol and Grandpa Corky for the great day and fun Easter hunt!

Easter Day!

This year we actually got to sleep in until 8:30 a.m. Sleeping in on holidays doesn't happen too often when you have little ones. The morning started out terrific! Here are the troops waiting to head upstairs to begin their Easter basket hunt! They each had to read a poem to find their hidden basket.
Briggs found his quickly in his favorite chair and headed out to show his sisters what he had in his basket. He got a bat and ball, Spider Man and Cars Floaties, and car tracks along with his candy.
Jayden found her basket in the theater room this year. She had fun beads, paint and paper in her basket this year.
Hadley found her basket underneath the computer. She got socks and two new outfits in her basket this year. Girls always want new things to wear!
Alix found her basket in the laundry room. She had socks, clothes and a swim shirt in her basket along with her favorite Easter treat, Cadbury Eggs...yummy!
After looking through their baskets, they started to search for the eggs.
Silly string was a big hit this year, although it left a really big mess. Alix quickly took over and got Hadley and Jayden really good, but soon her silly string ran out and Hadley and Jayden were able to catch her and get her back!
Jayden's new paints were fun for everyone.
Grandma and Grandpa still have car tracks from when Clint and Trent were little and they are always the first thing out when we visit them. We were able to find some tracks similar, but nothing like the real thing. Jayden and Briggs sent the cars down the stairs many times seeing which car was the fastest. Luckily, I had a mat to put against the wall so I didn't get any new dings.

- Color & Chocolate -

Color and chocolate were the hit of the night. We colored Easter eggs with our grandparents and had a great time. Each year the eggs get more and more creative. We used blue tape to help create some great patterns and designs on the eggs. . .it was an idea from the internet that actually worked out.As the egg dyeing went on Briggs got more and more confidence. Being two, he did not want any help and had to do it all by himself. Seeing him smile made the blue hands and splashes everywhere were worth it.
We had a great time and we went through all 3 dozen eggs quickly.
Thanks for the visit Great Grandpa Les!
We loved our Easter cards and hugs we got from you!
Great Grandma and Grandpa Handsaker brought the chocolate! Briggs was very patient reading his card with them, but after he could not get the chocolate out fast enough. He almost finished his whole chocolate car that night. He gave us all a good laugh.

We are so lucky to have our great grandparents still here with us creating and carrying on traditions. We have learned so much from them. Their laughter and love shines through and they always show us how much they care.
Thanks for helping get everyone here and celebrating Easter together.
We love and appreciate everything you do for our family!
A family who works together - stays together.
We love you!

Easter Egg Hunt!

Growing up I couldn't wait for the Easter egg hunt at my grandma's house and now it is so much fun to watch my own children enjoy this tradition. My grandma is such an amazing person and I admire her so much. Here is a picture of her with her great grandchildren. Briggs loved the Easter egg hunt. He ran and ran. He didn't care much about what was inside, he just liked to look for the eggs. Jayden had a great year this year, she came out with over $10.00. She used the money to buy a blue glitter ball. . . the latest thing at school.
Briggs and Carter loved chasing the bubbles.
The bunny was a HUGE success for Jayden this year. She has been afraid of the bunny for 7 years and finally gave the bunny a hug. She usually is crying and hiding in the house the whole time. . . we are very happy she is coming out of her shell more and more.

Jan and Jim always get the bunny to visit our Easter egg hunt. Jim got lots of hugs from the bunny when he went up to say "Thanks!'.
This is the BIG KID table eating their lunch inside trying to warm up. Growing up we couldn't wait to be at the BIG KID table.
The kids loved the sack lunches this year. Briggs loved the peanut butter bunny sandwich!

Thanks to these wonderful and amazing women!
Thanks for all the fun family memories and traditions.

Lendel and Quiche Lorraine!

Those were our nicknames for each other back in High School. I met Jen in middle school in our drama class. She has a very funny and outgoing personality and I knew that I wanted to be her friend. We both ended up needing each other and became close friends and Jen and Brandon (her brother) became part of my family and the Binford Gang. We had so many great times together and I loved her visit this year. It is so nice to see her again and catch up.
Whenever she is here, it is like she has never been gone.
We are looking hot in our stylin dresses!
I still have my dress because one day Jen is going to jump into a swimming pool with it on.
Here is a picture of us now!
We both have our pony tails and muffin tops. We enjoyed some cheese soup and rolls for dinner which went great with the snowmobiling. Buddy loved to ride and would not stop. After Keith's ride he ended up with a bruised leg, but it was worth it. Everyone had a great time!

Alix and Skate
Hadley and Olivia
All the kids enjoying their ice cream before they left. Now it is our turn to go to Seattle and visit!

Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift if the music on our blog right now, because she is the favorite in our home! Jayden and Hadley sing it constantly and she is always the first pick in the car.
Even Alix and I will listen to her music!
It is something we can all agree on...which does not happen very often.

Hadley and Alix are members of the fan club so on Tuesday, we were able to buy tickets to her FEARLESS Concert on May 26th!!
Together, my neighbor and I picked up 12 tickets...we are on the floor.
We have enough tickets so that Jayden can come with us. I know she is a little young, but she doesn't want to miss out on the girl's night out and a dream come true!!

We are very excited for this concert and Clint just rolled his eyes when I told him about the tickets. He is thankful there are not enough tickets for him and Briggs...they will stay home and do the guy thing.

SAY CHEESE!!

It was Spring Picture Day at Valley Elementary on Tuesday, so I got the little ones ready to go. Before we left, I thought I would try for some shots on our front porch because you never can be sure if the school pictures will turn out. Well, Briggs was a challenge to get to hold still, look at the camera, and smile. I hope the school pictures work if not...these will do. Jayden was great! I have many shots that are adorable of her. Here are some of them together. I never did get a shot with them both looking at me and not being silly. Briggs is just full of fun and energy. He kept Jayden laughing - not sure what he was going to do next.
