Cheerleading!

Jayden wanted to do a Cheerleading Clinic with some friends. We are always nervous signing Jayden up to try something new because she is very shy and often does not follow through. She surprised herself and her parents. Jayden went to all the clinics and even performed at half time at the football game. She enjoyed doing this and had a lot of fun. We were very proud of her.

Bear Lake

Our last get-away before school started was in Bear Lake with our amazing friends. We had about 8 families come with us. Here are a few pictures of our tents in camp. We stayed at a KOA campground. It had many fun things for the kids to do and keep them busy when we were not at the beach.

Briggs and Paige enjoyed the teeter-totter at the playground. Briggs loves to be with Paige and follow her around.

Fred is always the one to get the jokes played on him. Kelsey and Kami decided to get him back from a previous incident at a summer barbecue. They dumped the leftover pancake batter all over his head. He did not see it coming. What a mess!!

He was able to grab Kami so she could share the pancake batter with him. One thing Fred never knew about was the payoff! Dan paid the girls $50.00 to do this to Fred.

This was only the beginning for Fred that weekend. He ended up almost eating some Chunky Money ice cream, which was really some left over Maggie poop. Once he took a sniff, he knew things weren't right. The rest of the trip and still now at home, things have not settled down between Dan and Fred. They are still playing pranks and jokes on each other. I am glad we are not involved!!

Alix had to work on of the days, so Spencer cam up with Alix so she didn't have to drive up alone. She gets lost easy, so it was nice to have someone with her. They had a great time making a sand chair on the beach.

Matt let Briggs drive the boat back to the beach. Briggs loved every minute of it. He copied everything Matt did. He tried to grab the speed control many times to go faster. Matt had to keep a close eye on him.

The boys finally gave it up and let the younger kids go for a ride! They were full of smiles and laughter.

Briggs got his first ride with the little kids and mom. He was very excited to be doing what the older kids were doing. He enjoyed the ride and got scared a few times. The deal was to go slow and not to get us in the water, but things don't always go as you plan them. We were all dumped in the water. Briggs did not want to get back on after that. He stayed wrapped up in his towel on the boat.
