Thanksgiving

Happy Turkey Day!
This year we celebrated three different Thanksgivings.
We loved spending time with our family.
I did forget my camera at my dad's house...
so no pictures there. Thanksgiving was early this year at Grandma Angie's so we could enjoy this holiday with Zach and Tyler. We had a yummy dinner and enjoyed laughing, talking and watching the Real Soccer game. Brent - Alix - Whitney - Jayden

HANDSAKER THANKSGIVING
We celebrated Thanksgiving with the Handsakers at our house.
We tried a deep fried turkey this year, but it wasn't the best because we didn't cook it long enough. We will try again next year. One year we will master the turkey.

~Alix turns 18~

ALIX
I can't believe she is 18 years old. It seems like just yesterday I was holding my beautiful baby in my arms. She was a happy blue-eyed baby. I loved her so much then and I still do. When she was a baby she would always be there for me and listened. She was my everything. She was my best friend then, and she still is now. How did I get so lucky to have such an amazing daughter. Alix loves a rainy day
...and the fall.
Even though she turned 18, she still gets a children's book from her mom. She still gets scared on a dark, dark, night, I love it that she still needs me.
Alix, Sue and I spent her birthday at Gardner Village enjoying the Halloween atmosphere. Alix loves the witches. After we went shopping we had lunch at the Cheesecake Factory.

That night we meet together at Rooster's for a yummy dinner. It was so nice for Alix to have all of us there together for her.
Aunt Whitney surprised Alix at home with her birthday cake. Whitney worked hard on this surprise and it turned out soooo cute.

Briggs Birthday...5 months ago

My Briggsie turned 3 this year Snowmobiling in August?? Clint thought so.
Wheels for Briggs' Snowmobile!
Clint got his work out...running up and down the street chasing him. Clint is loving having a boy around.
He got some fun presents...his Spider Man bike was a hit. We just worry about the day he decides to go down the driveway for the first time.

Mommy had to work on the day of his birthday...Alix made sure he had a special day. His favorite lunch...peanut butter and honey sandwich. Briggs is the "chosen one" at our house. He is loved. His sisters make sure he is never in need of anything. One of them is always right there to love and spoil him.
He brightens all our days.

Seattle

Before school started the kids and I took a road trip and headed up to see Jen in Seattle. We had an amazing time! The kids had so much fun that they hated to head home, but I had to go to work so we couldn't stay longer. Here are just a few pictures of our great trip! We headed down to the Fish Market one day and the kids favorite were the big cookies; which was as big as Briggs head.
~We had to stop and have a picture on the cute pig~
Alix's favorite were all the flowers everywhere!

Arrrr....

We took a day and went on the Ferry across to see Tresse and Morris in Bremerton. We enjoyed visiting with them. We don't get to see them very often. Their yard was beautiful.

Buddy was a trooper! He shared his room and toys with us! The girls always were having fun just hanging out together.
Jen and Keith were great hosts! We loved our vacation! I just wish we could have been there longer. We will be back.

Dirt and Mosquitoes

We went camping up to Henry's Fork in July and as soon as we stepped out of the car it was gross...mosquitoes were everywhere! The only place we found relief was in our tent, by the campfire or riding on the 4-wheeler. With camping comes the dirt and the kids had a blast kicking it up with the 4-wheelers.Here is Jayden's face... full of mosquito bites. She had bites everywhere, even on her bottom from when she went to the bathroom. We wore hoodies and long sleeve shirts the whole time, even if we were hot.
Carter and Briggs played non-stop. They loved to play with the guns. Briggs had a great stance...spread em! They never stopped.
Briggs decided that Colten was speeding and went and took care of business.
He got him off the 4-wheeler...stick 'em up.
Clint started out loving the cool temperatures and wore shorts and a t-shirt all night the first night. The second night...not so good. He had a fever and a sick stomach the rest of the trip. The picture below shows how Clint spent most of his time on the trail. He came home and still was not 100% so he went to the doctor. He actually had an infection called Campyolacterosis. Luckily, it was not contagious so no one else got sick. He was a trooper and a pooper on the vacation.

Jayden riding in the mud! She loves to ride and get dirty.
She is a good little rider. We had great food on the trip. It was fun to sit around and enjoy each other in the mornings because the mosquitoes were not so bad. Grandma Carol and Grandpa Corky loved being with their kids and grand kids.
Jason and Karen making us some great pan -a- cakes! Yummy!
Cute and dirty family! We enjoyed our nights by the camp fire. The mosquitoes did not like the smoke. My dad and I both sporting our Weber High and Valley Bulldog hats...we love working for the school district!
The kids had fun taking pictures of funny faces around the campfire.
