Family Favorite!

Four years ago, our new neighbors invited us up to their family cabin in Lava Hot Springs. We did not know them very well and had to think about it.
We took a chance and decided to go with their family.
We had a great time with them and since we have become best friends!
They are like a second family for my children.
Since that vacation we have never missed the winter cabin trip!
Hadley missed a soccer tournament in St. George and yes, Alix took off work to join us this year. We had a great time. The Handsakers, Baileys, Bones, Shribers, and Stevensons were the families there this year.
We had a great time and hope to continue on with this family and friends winter tradition, as long as the Stevenson family does not get sick of us! Blake - Cameron - Montana

On Valentine's Day we were able to celebrate with Brian and wish him a HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

These boys had a lot of fun spending the week-end together. They had just finished their chocolate cake in this picture.
They were full of fun and smiles until they each had a expired juice box that made them both get food poisoning. My sister and I were both shocked to when they both threw up within an hour of each other. It took a little while for these little guys to get feeling better, buy they still were troopers and participated in all the activities. It is amazing at how much energy they have...even when they don't feel good.

Of course, we have snowmobiling pictures. My husband loves to ride!
We found some great snow and broke in my sister's new snowmobiles.
Missy was a little nervous, but rode great that day!
Fred making his way down...we didn't have any accidents this trip!
Scott loving his new sled!
Alright, yes even the moms took a ride down the sledding hill. I have not laughed so hard in a long time. It was a lot of fun!
The kids didn't love us taking over the sleds for a few rides, but they learned to share. The kids were out sledding at least three times a day. It was nice to have the snowmobiles to brings you back up the hill.

Weekend with Grandparents!

We started our fun weekend at Trent and Aynie's house.
The kids loved being at Harper's house and enjoyed playing with his toys.
They all wanted a turn on the computer playing games.
Kathy was fabulous - she watched the kids while we went snowmobiling.
Thank you Kathy for your patience and love. After snowmobiling we went back to sleep over at grandma and grandpa's house. We enjoyed our time together. Clint was able to help get Kathy's computers working again and the kids played with grandpa non-stop. The favorite game this weekend was the little piggies game. Briggs was ready to go for a ride. He thought he was just going to watch a movie, but the purpose of the drive was to put him to sleep.
It worked and he got his afternoon nap.
It made our afternoon and evening much happier. After our snowmobile ride, of course the little ones wanted in on some of the fun! Jayden loves riding with dad on the snowmobile.
She likes to ride on her own snowmobile more, but it was at home.
Hadley and grandpa were able to get some alone time away from the little ones. They enjoyed playing a few games on the X-box together.
Grandpa Fred is always full of fun!
Thanks for always loving them and bringing smiles to their faces.
We all had a great time!
Clint and Kathy after all their work together on the computers. They worked hard and accomplished many things, but there is always more work to do.
We will be back!
On Sunday, Trent, Aynie and Harper came over to visit,
but he hit his head and spent most the day snuggling with Aynie.
Usually Briggs and Harper are going non-stop.
Our snowmobile ride started out great.
We had fresh snow to ride through and good company.
Trent had a few problems with his sled and they had to head back early.
Fred, Clint and I were able to stay out and ride a few more hours.
Here are just a few pictures that I was able to get during our day!

After making Snowcrest's Junior High Volleyball team, Hadley decided to try something new. She is playing on a Rage Club Volleyball team. She is on the team with many different girls from other junior high schools. She plays in tournaments on Saturdays and plays several games throughout the day and practices twice a week. We have traveled to Salt Lake and Park City so far. It is definitely different than soccer. You are never sure when your games will be, how long you will be there and you don't get to leave the tournament place. Hadley is still playing indoor soccer and will continue with outdoor in the spring. She is about 5'7 and is still growing. Hadley #17-Haleigh #43-McKell #4

Clint was here at this tournament and would not allow Hadley to serve underhand. She served the whole tournament overhand and was very successful. She is getting better and better. She is a great volleyball player.

It was a great day. Hadley is a great volleyball player. She is one of their tallest players and is able to play during all the games. She plays front and back row. They won some games and lost some. It was nice having Clint there with me to visit with during the games and to cheer Hadley on. Thanks to Alix for staying home with Briggs and Jayden.

Island Park Snowmobiling

I love watching Clint ride. He loves to snowmobile and always makes it look so easy.

You are not having fun until you get stuck! Clint found a stump that sent him into the trees.
This is the ravine that the girls were led down in the fog! We took a different way down from the top. We could not even see 10 feet in front of us! I was the last one to make it down before the crash. It was a wild ride down. We had a six sled pile up in the middle and two towards the top that crashed. It was an eventful ride. We were lucky to to not have any major injuries. We had a few bumps and bruises and missing parts on sleds.
Melanie kissing her sled that got her down, even though she crashed into Becky and Ann who were in the middle of the ravine! Luckily she only broke her windshield!

Ann and the missing parts off the sled after her crash into Becky!
The ride up to top near Jefferson Peak was safe and fun! It is always so beautiful in Island Park. Everywhere you ride is a gorgeous site.

Fred helped get the fire started with his gas can and matches. He always is so much fun to be with. You never know what he is going to do next. We enjoyed the warm fire and hot dogs for lunch.

True love - always and forever
This year we had two cabins in Island Park. We had 17 couples on this trip with us. The cabins were great and had plenty of room for all of us. We had an amazing time with each other and our friends. We stayed up past midnight every night laughing and playing games. Clint and I love going on this vacation each year. It has become tradition for us each January and we look forward to the years to come.
